ROYAL REPUTATION ON SHOW AT INGLIS

Updated: Mar 6

It came as no surprise to see buyers crawling all over the progeny of new Group 1 producing stallion Royal Meeting at the Inglis Premier Sale.

Hot on the heels of his daughter Hayasugi's Group 1 Blue Diamond triumph, inspections went through the roof when it came to Royal Meeting progeny with strong sales in the auction ring.

The highlight lot for Royal Meeting was Lot 90, the colt from Alana's Party which realised a hefty $280,000 to the bid of David Ellis and Te Akau Racing.

Group 1 winning syndicator Bennett Racing joined in the support of Royal Meeting when they spent $80,000 on a gorgeous colt from Valkyrie Diva, a close relation of the superstar stayer Makybe Diva.

The colt caught the eye of Leneva Park General Manager Mick Sharkie who let the moths fly out of his wallet when he bought a share himself! "I don't buy into many colts but I couldn't resist this one. I've known Nathan Bennett for a long time and I really respect the way he and Phil Wells have grown that business, I'm excited to have a share in a Royal Meeting yearling with him and his team," Sharkie said.

"We loved the colt and I'm so happy to get him at the price. Royal Meeting is doing the job and the female family is huge, he's a beauty," said Nathan Bennett.

Royal Meeting is certainly on the up and Leneva Park encourages anyone interested in buying into a Royal Meeting yearling to reach out for advice. We're happy to put you in contact with recent buyers so you can share in the upside of this exciting young stallion.
