Competition was strong for one of the nicest colts by Leneva Park stallion Royal Meeting at the Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling Sale this week.
The colt offered by Newhaven Park from the proven producer Around The Clock, was an absolute stand out and was knocked down to Hong Kong syndicate Upper Bloodstock for $130,000.
There is little wonder that the colt is on his way to Hong Kong, his half-brother Hall Of Fame - known as Dances With Dragons in Hong Kong - was a Group 1 winner in New Zealand before being sold to Asian interests where he proved himself to be a true Group class galloper.
"He's a lovely colt and was popular all the way through inspections. A great example of his sire Royal Meeting," said Newhaven's Adelaide draft director Murray Tillett.
Royal Meeting has covered 300 mares in his first three seasons at stud with his first yearlings heading to some of the best stables in Australia.
