It's been a big season so far and with five weeks of prime covering time to go, Leneva Park stallions Fierce Impact and Royal Meeting are on track to complete some fantastic booking numbers.
Three-time Group 1 winner and first season sire Fierce Impact will complete a book in excess of 140 mares which puts him right up there with the most popular first season prospects in Victoria. With a very strong fertility rate and a healthy libido, Fierce Impact has really pleased us in 2021 and we are buoyed by the success and influence of the Japanese sire line through the deeds of spring Group 1 winners Profondo (Deep Impact) and Hitotsu (Maurice).
Group 1 winning 2YO Royal Meeting has turned heads with his first foals on the ground in 2021 and as a result his numbers have charged past 2020 bookings (88) and he will cover more than 110 mares in 2021.
So good are his first foals, leading assessors Mike O'Donnell and Michael Kirwan have labelled the progeny as some of the best quality first season foals they have seen in 2021 - not a bad report for a stallion priced for incredible value given his pedigree and performance!
