It's been a fantastic month for Leneva Park pre-trainers with the first Group 1 winner coming through our program taking centre stage at Caulfield for long-time clients Mick Price and Michael Kent Junior.
There were no spectators at Caulfield on Caulfield Guineas day, but when I'm Thunderstruck hit the line first in the Group 1 Toorak Handicap, the roar of the team at Leneva Park would have been heard all the way at Caulfield - we went off!
Rider Jess loves I'm Thunderstruck and identified him as a horse of great ability in his first tour through our pre-training program in 2020.
"He felt amazing, he's a lovely horse, got a great stride on him and is smart - he's a special horse and I love him. I'm so happy he won for his owners and trainers," Jess said.
Although Leneva Park plays just a small part in the early education and preparatory work with these horses, our role is an important one and we're bloody proud of it.
More so though, we are so thrilled when trainers and owners who show faith in our programs get success on the racetrack; we love working with horses and good people - add a little bit of luck on the track and it's a recipe worth sharing!
