The 2022 southern hemisphere breeding season has begun and after two weeks of covering both Fierce Impact and Royal Meeting are in great form.
It is crucial that stallions are fit and healthy heading into the breeding season, especially popular Group 1 winning commercial stallions like Fierce Impact and Royal Meeting, as they need to be able to stand up to their work load physically and mentally.
Under the day to day care of our stallion team led by Brian Byrnes and Rob Argue, both stallions charged into the first fortnight of the season in rude health and are covering vigourously.
"They have picked up right where they left off in the shed at the end of last season," said Argue.
"I couldn't be happier with them to be honest. It looks like being another busy season for them both and they are both ready for it."
Fierce Impact and Royal Meeting represent incredible value for breeders in 2023. Royal Meeting's first foals were met with great support at weanling sales selling up to $160,000 and expectations are high ahead of the 2023 yearling sale season. Fierce Impact was potent and well supported with quality mares in his first season at stud and we expect that support to continue in 2022.
